Chatham Town

Chatham is the administrative headquarters of Medway unitary authority, as well as its principal shopping centre. The former naval and dockyard town is around 33 miles east of London and contains important transport hubs - the railway and bus stations are the main interchanges for the area. It has a population of approximately 70,000.

The Medway School of Pharmacy in Chatham Town scores high marks on the National Student Survey.Committee for Medway Pharmacy studentsThe Medway School of Pharmacy is a collaboration between the Universities of Kent and Greenwich, in response to a "shortage of qualified pharmacists" in the south east of England. It was established in Chatham in 2004.

The School has a very active students' association. Its committee, which consists of ten students from across the different stages of the undergraduate courses, runs numerous events throughout the year to reflect the interests of its members. Previous events have included paintballing, ice-skating, trips to Thorpe Park and movie nights. The highlight of the MPSA calendar is the annual Pharmacy Ball.

Students of the School in their final year have expressed very high rates of satisfaction with the School's programs. At 97 per cent, it has the highest rate of course satisfaction among British higher education institutions.
